It’s time to kick off the ski season with the 28th Annual Boston Globe Ski and Snowboard Expo, November 19 through 22.

Hundreds of exhibitors will be on hand to present their newest ski and snowboard lines and Ski Market stores will offer New England’s biggest equipment merchandise for sale at fantastic prices. The Expo is made possible by BEWI Productions.

If that’s not enough, check out the many resorts from all over the world offering their best pre-season savings on winter vacation packages to such places as the High Sierras, the Rockies to eastern mountains of Quebec and the Eastern Townships of Canada. If you’re planning a trip to Europe, you’ll find representatives from France, Austria and Italy offering big savings on ski vacations.

The Bayside Expo Center is located on Rt. 93, SE Expressway, Exit 15, or ride the T – Red Line to JFK Library and UMass.

Expo times are Thursday, Friday, November 19-20, 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, November 22, 10 to 6 p.m.

Admission is $12 for adults, kids under 12 free. You can pre-buy reduced tickets for $9.00 online at www.skisnowboardexpo.com, or download a $2 discount coupon at www.onthesnow.com.

Live acts include The Flying Ace All-Stars, the Elite Team Fitness Challenge and an Olympic Preview and Ski Team Salute with Donna Weinbrecht, Olympic Mogul Gold Medalist.

There will also be interactive exhibits and many giveaways during the weekend.

Ski and ride safely. Use your head and don't forget to wear a helmet.
