I was walking around Kennebunk/Kennebunkport on Saturday morning, and ran into Theresa Willette at Coastal Maine Kayaking. I like Theresa because she was one of the teachers for a guide class I took a couple years ago.

She has a nice shop on the Kennebunk River in the middle of a tourism mecca. That helps her run a decent kayak and bike rental business too.

On Saturday, she's hosting a consignment sale. If you have a kayak that you've been meaning to sell, this is a good opportunity. Check the event page for drop off times and policies.

This may be a chance to get a good kayak at a decent price. You never know what you're going to find at consignment sales. It's worth the trip any way just for the chance to talk about Theresa. If you have any questions about kayaking, she can answer them. Plus she's very friendly and enthusiastic.

If you are thinking about selling your boat, remember that buyers are looking for bargains. You probably have a good boat worth a lot of money. But it may be tough finding people who are willing to spend a lot for a used boat.
